At least three people are dead following a shooting at a Target store in Texas, according to local officials.
The suspect has been detained in connection with the shooting.
Austin Police Department responded to "a shooting incident" at the Target on 8601 Research Boulevard in northern Austin, the department announced a little before 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11.
Police said they were looking for a suspect in khaki shorts and floral print t-shirt.
Within the hour, Austin police announced in an update that two people died in the shooting and a suspect was detained. CNN reported, citing local officials, that there was a third person who died in the shooting.
Multiple others were injured in the incident, per CNN, Local 12 and CBS News.
It wasn't immediately clear if the suspect, whose name has not been released, was one of the injured.
An investigation is ongoing.
